Artisan zero or hien1/7/2024 ![]() ![]() I tested both on aim trainers to make sure of this, and I achieved higher scores by a fair amount with more consistency using the otsu than the zero. My preference before were slower pads but I’m slowly branching out to faster pads in order to match my play style and the games I’m currently playing. The idea that a mousepad will vastly change your performance is a lie, it’s there to enhance the ground work that you already have laid out. Having mouse control is important for anyone gaming competitively or even if you are just playing to improve for fun. There’s a lessened feeling of being “stuck” in place, as some people experience, if that applies to you. Target switching is seemingly effortless on the otsu compared to the zero. After going back, the zero is comparatively muddy with higher static friction and dynamic friction, but it’s important to note that it’s certainly not a bad thing. I think that’s what the hayate otsu excels at compared to the zero. Not just in the sense of tracking while shooting, but also helps when leading your shot ahead of your target. I mentioned the glide on the otsu is smoother than the zero which make it excel on certain aspects of aiming such as tracking. Stopping Power and application: this is what most people want to know. To clarify, in terms of glide: Otsu xsoft>zero soft/xsoft The glide is amazing for games like apex legends and war zone, in addition to its stopping power makes it a top tier pad. Depending on your mouse feet, the sound may be scratchier on the otsu than the zero from my experience using corepads vs tiger ice with the same mouse. At first I thought the otsu was rougher however after breaking in, the glide is smoother than the zero. Glide: The hayate otsu once worn in is definitely smoother than the zero. Therefore I have a worn in zero soft, an unused zero soft and a lightly used xsoft. I’ve had my zero soft since early December and even have a spare zero soft because I thought it was my end game. After a lot of usage, I can finally compare both pads more accurately. Hello! So I originally provided my first impressions of the Hayate Otsu xsoft a little over a month ago.
